Community Demonstration Garden Grant

BWP will sponsor a limited number of demonstration gardens within the City of Burbank for the purpose of showcasing sound water efficient landscape practices.

Proposals for BWP to sponsor a demonstration garden at a host site will be evaluated on 1st come-1st serve basis. General criteria listed

below. More detailed criteria in order of importance @ BWP:

~ up to 2 Demonstration Gardens per year for the next 4 years
~ starts in fiscal year (July–June) 2008/09
~ does not exceed $15,000 per site
~ must be a community based or not-for-profit organization, or local school within the COB
~ site must be accessible and visible to the public
~ organizations willing to cost share will receive preference
~ in-kind labor, donated hardscape & plant materials considered in lieu of cost sharing
~ projects that apply/receive funding from other funding source, (MWD) will receive preference
~ must agree to grant access, showcase and maintain for 5 years.
